Giz had always been my pride & joy. But 6 years ago our love was tested when I got covid & became paralyzed & was sent to a covid only facility for 6 months. I had to re-learn how to walk, eat, sit, everything. Once I got back home she was so happy to see me! She stayed with me constantly. My husband decided I was too much (longer story) and left us. It was just Gizmo and I left. We went through basically being homeless after that but stuck together! She was my guiding light, she was my focus and it helped me overcome the disability and hopelessness. I had to do it for her, I had to get us to a better place, and I did. We got our own home and she loved her new back yard! She passed here at home with me & I am glad we were together through all of it. The house is so quiet now. She is in a better place now.
