My dog Kupke, Kup for short is a long haired Siberian Husky with the colors of a collie. I always had him groomed at Petco, they always did a great job, but never cut his hair short enough, so I asked cut his hair shorter. When my husband went to pick him up he could hear Kup woofing and howling in the background, (anyone who knows or had a Husky knows the are very vocal), so my husband says yeah that’s Kup I hear him, well when he rounded that corner still woofing and howling my husband did not recognize him it sounded like Kup but looked like a lamb he said that’s not my dog they shaved all his beautiful coat off, and Kup was letting them know this was not ok. So I get the call Kup is still howling and woofing, I said what did they do he said they shaved him and he is telling me all about it. Needless to say Kup was much happier with his coat, he starting playing again and acting like a puppy at this time Kup was probably 10 and was starting to slow down, but give him a whole new look and he was a whole new dog. Once he got to age 13 we had to let his coat grow back out. Kupke was a beautiful dog inside and out, I will truly miss him every day. R.I.P. mommas Kup I love you your momma dog.
