When Jasmine was picked up the very first time, she hissed, and it was at that very moment, her new mom knew she was the one for us. Jasmine’s favorite place to sleep was on Heather’s head until she got older and it became on top of Heather no matter what position she slept in. If Heather moved, Jasmine would simply readjust and fall asleep. Jasmine had 3 favorite toys, a laser pointer, chirping cardinal, and a furry tail on a string. My fondest memory of the laser pointer, was getting Jasmine to run back and forth through the hallway, until she had to stop, and catch her breath. Jasmine would prance around with this chirping cardinal as if she caught it and wanted everyone to know just how proud she was of herself. The funniest story of Jasmine was a time in which a mouse ran out from under a table. This mouse ran right at Jasmine, did Jasmine try to attack this mouse? Nope! She got up on her hind legs and backed up as if saying, “What the heck is this?” Jasmine, loved to cuddle on her own terms. It was not uncommon to find her huddled on someone’s legs whether in the bed or on the couch. If you left to go into another room, she would follow you like a puppy dog. Close a door, you could hear her meowing and pawing at the door to either be let in or out. Once you opened the door, she would just sit there and look at you like, “How dare you close the door!” Jasmine, you stole our hearts instantly and continued with that soft fur of yours. Her purr was subtle but loud enough to say I love you! You will be greatly missed, and until we meet again at the rainbow bridge!!
