Theo was a dashing handsome boy, who loved his Mom & Dad (obviously Mom most, despite what Dad might say). He was best of pals with his older brother Willis who preceded him in death. He was a bossy big brother to his annoying little pest Marv. He tolerated his cat brother Preacher, by letting him know “don’t f$&k with me, ever!!!”.
Theo spent most his days being ridiculously and effortlessly handsome. I thought he looked like the Robert Redford of dogs. He was a manly Dude. He loved squirrel hunting, possum hunting and dabbled in skunk hunting. He loved sleeping sprawled out and balls up. He gave the best kisses. He also liked to bitch at us when we first walked in the door from being gone. It sounded like he was cussing us out for being gone too long and not home at his beck and call. He was attracted to smaller breed ladies and often was tempted to give attention to the tease who lived in the yard behind us, who lured him to the fence just to kick grass at him. He never gave up and she never gave him the time of day. He was smitten.
He loved when family came to visit and he loved having them over to hangout in “his yard”. He loved all four seasons and their elements. He liked to make his Mom come out in blizzards in her pajamas, to chase his butt into the house. He was simply amazing!!!
Most importantly he was a Hero. When Marissa was misdiagnosed for the last time he laid on her chest or just stood watch over her while she slept. His persistence and concern for her made us realize that this was not just an upper respiratory infection like her PCD had diagnosed. He’s the reason we ignored what her doctor said and went straight to the hospital where it was discovered her heart was on the verge of exploding because she had a mass crushing the whole left side of her heart and was later diagnosed with cancer. Theo continued to watch over and comfort her during her long battle. We will forever be thankful for his compassion and love for us and will always love him and carry his story and life in our hearts. I can’t believe we’ll never look into those gorgeous blue eyes again or get to cuddle with the most fluffy ball of fluff again. Mama loves you Theo-dorable and will miss you forever “my guy”. I’m the luckiest woman because I got to be your Mom 🥹😘❤️💔 run around and play with Willis til we can all be together again. Mom and Dad Love you 💔
