Being a bird mom was never a role I would ever have thought I would’ve had. Pika and I were inseparable. I joked that he was my emotional support animal, but he really was. He helped me get through a really tough time in my life when it was just us two. He was also the meanest baby ever in that he didn’t let any of my other friends get close without hissing. I’m going to miss hearing him say “Pika Pika” and “Pika’s a pretty bird”. I wish I could’ve had him for 20+ years, but the 2 we shared together were an amazing 2 years. I hope you’re doing your little birdy dance over the rainbow bridge. “Go Pika, Go Pika, Go Go Go Pika”
