We found Snickers wandering 96 near Middlebelt in March of 2010. Being the animal lovers we are, we took her in and tried to find her owners. After several weeks with no luck we decided to take her in as she already had become a member of the family. We took her to the vet when we found out she was approximately 6 months old so we made her birthdate the same as my mother’s. She was found to be heart worm positive which she was treated for and made a full recovery. My son and her became an inseparable pair even when he moved out. She always was excited to see her “boy” when he came over. She has seen the best of times and the worst of times in our household. She comforted me at the time of my mother’s passing this past September 2024 and has seen me the happiest this past year. She has touched so many hearts being the sweet pitty she is. Unfortunately her death was unexpected as she was still eating, playing, and loving her family the night prior to her death. She was comforted by her human daddy at her last hour. She crossed over the rainbow bridge and is now with my mom and all her passed family members, both human and furry. She will be forever loved and missed!
