This sweet little lady, a Calico cat, showed up at my house in November 2006. She was very persistent. Almost bossy. Definitely sassy. Doesn’t take NO for an answer. A trait she would carry the rest of her life. She knew what she needed to do— so she set her sights on my husband and worked her magic. it was clear that she was not leaving. She had the personality of a dog , rather a cat. She would give you a dirty look if you vacuumed by her and tuck her head deeper to block you out. She enjoyed going outside to get the dog’s stainless steel bowl filled with fresh, cold hose water. She would be standing in the spray and puddling just to save time when it was ready. In the meantime, the dog ran out of reach as the hose is terrifying. She also loved to go next door, to watch the bird feeders – at both neighbors houses, exactly when the sun came up. This was not always popular on days you wanted to be lazy. But one way or another she always pushed to get her way. As other cat pet owners know, we serve them, and I can say it was my pleasure to serve her all the ways I could. Because of her larger than life cat personality, many, many people and animals (she has a deer friend. A doe) will feel the loss of such an amazing Ki-Ki. I hope to remember all those things she taught me. May I become stronger, more focused, goal-oriented, memorable (and so much more). Just like her. As her spirit returns to where-ever it came from I truly hope to meet her again there. I know if love is how we find each other, we will. As for these 16 years we shared together, I am so grateful you picked our house kitty. In the meantime, she will join all my loves who went before and be one of my guardian Angels to remind me to grow and be better because they lived and modeled, and shared their lives with me. To quote Dr. Seuss, “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”. (If only it were that easy ;’( Love you forever my Casso Casso Ki-Ki <3 XoXo my love
