Amethyst arrived home with us when she was just about 4 weeks young, she was found in a boat out on country property. The moment we welcomed her home she was spoiled with formula and wet food from me as her human mother however when it came to nap time or full nights rest she was persistent to get right next to my 2 year old son Weston. Eventually the two were inseparable at all times. When Weston turned on his hot wheels tracks she would jump right over and play with him everytime, she road around in the back of his garbage truck while he drove like a maniac, when a furry friend came to visit, Amethyst would not allow even a fur baby next to her boy. Amethyst was not just Weston’s kitty…he was her boy!!! If we cried she dropped what she was into (even food) right away and came running, she would shove her little nose into our nostrils and rub all over our faces, she was and always will be one of the best companions one could ever have the pleasure to call part of the family.
Amethyst was diagnosed with Mammary Hyperplasia she recieved her surgery and sadly just 2 days later passed away at home. Weston has been lost without her these past few days…we all have.
Thank you so much for taking your time with Amethyst and my children (Braxton 11yrs and Weston 2yrs) and I. Pet Passages helped give us a healthier goodbye than the devastating one we had at home or even at the animal hospital we rushed her to. The approach you took helped us feel a sense of peace.
