It was a miserably cold day in May when I heard a pathetic cry in the middle of the night. Thinking one of my cats had gotten hurt I went in search of the cry. Both of my babies were happily snuggled up with their person of choice. Yet I still heard the cry. So I wandered on through the apartment and realized it was coming from outside. I opened the door to find this poor cat curled up in a corner trying to stay warm. I took them in and gave them food and water. Then went through all of the necessary steps to try to find the owner. Vet visit for a microchip, fliers around the complex, websites for the found cat. No one ever claimed him. So he stayed. He made friends with the other cats. He was curious and sweet and oh so skittish. He was cuddled and doted on. He became part of the family. We loved him well. He was often found laying around with Cutie. Always wanted treats but never greedy about it. Loved to be pet, would purr forever if being petted. He was taken far too soon from us.
