Today we had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl, Gabriella Ann. Though my heart is shattered, I am thankful we were blessed to have Gabi for 15 years. A bit about our girl I first saw Gabi at the Westland Animal Shelter, told my husband,Nick,we had to have her. She was then transferred to Taylor Animal Shelter and I saw my girl again. She was sweet & spunky 12 week old pup that was found as a stray. She wasn’t yet available to adopt so the week long wait began. They mentioned that since she was a puppy there probably would be a high demand for her so be prepared for bidding to occur. The morning she was available I took my oldest niece and little sister (for leverage )And we waited until the shelter opened. Outside there was a group of teen boys there to get Gabi too. They were stupid and talked about their plans to have her be a fight dog. They were even stupid enough to mention how much they had between themselves to get her. As bad as I wanted her my main mission was ensuring they didn’t get her. I was older and had a credit card after all Fast forward 1 years later. Our wild child severely broke her leg. It was a holiday weekend and damn near impossible to find someone to help her. After multiple vet visits over a few days, we found one that didn’t immediately suggest euthanizing. For the 14 years to follow our tripod was a wild but sweet girl. She was bougie AF at times and would know exactly when to play her “only having 3 legs” card. Its truly impossible to summarize all the memories, especially with pictures. So here’s our girls 1st pic with us and one from a few weeks ago. Thank you for all your unconditional love. You left your paw prints on our hearts and we’ll never stop loving or missing you. Sweet Dreams, Gabi girl. I’ll see you at Rainbow Bridge
