I adopted Fonzie when I was just 17, after my childhood cat, Rudy, passed away. My mom had told me “no more animals,” but I did it anyway. I found him on a Craigslist add. When I went to pick him up, I found that the girl who had fostered him was a girl I went to high school with. He (along with his siblings) had been abandoned by the owner. I hid Fonzie in my room for a bit, but after a few months he was roaming the house and became a big part of the family. He had a very strong personality and wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything (including dogs). Fonzie stayed with me through all of my moves, relationships (and break ups). He was there for me for the good and bad times and has left a pawprint on my heart forever. Fonzie also captured the heart of my husband, Chris, who I think he loved more than me. He was always leery of other people, but became attached to Chris right way. Even when Fonzie was really sick, he spent most of his time sitting on or next to Chris’ desk or on his lap while he played games. We affectionately have referred to Fonzie as “the goodest boy” because he was such a special cat. We will love and miss him forever, but are so thankful we had him with us for as long as we did.We love you, Fonzie.
