Cesar came into our lives in 2012, he was shy and timid at first. A little unsure of everyone, especially our other pets. However, in a short amount of time he was running around with his new brothers Bear and Squirt in the backyard. He loved to fetch the biggest sticks and kick around with a soccer ball or two. He would even sometimes just sleep out in the sunlight during the spring and summer. He was full of life and truly embodied what it meant to live life to the fullest. He loved being around other people though we had to introduce them slowly in the beginning since he was a very cautious dog (due to his past owner’s treatment), but soon enough he just loved everyone he came to meet and they too loved him. He was our gentle giant, he was afraid of loud noises and sometimes his own shadow but he would always be loyal and follow you around, especially if you were having a bad day. Cesar always wanted to be in the company of others, especially if the house had guests over. He loved to play with tennis balls and roll around in the grass, especially if you saw his tan fur turn green from doing so. Cesar enjoyed eating dog treats, blueberries, and especially any type of bread. He was the dog you hoped to encounter at least once in your life. His memory is forever in our hearts and minds. Not a day will pass that something doesn’t remind us of him. Whether it was looking over your bed and seeing him sleeping upside down sometimes on the floor or pulling up to the house and seeing his face looking out the window on the door. We always knew we rescued Cesar when it turned out Cesar rescued us. Rest easy now buddy and keep running in the fields of green in Heaven.
